Theological Educator — Africa

Spread the Gospel. Plant Lutheran Churches. Show Mercy. These are the three guiding principles that characterize Lutheran mission. They are not listed in order of importance. Rather, planting Lutheran churches is the heart of the matter. Theological Educators are an essential part of our mission strategy in Africa because of their connection to church planting.

Are you a pastor who excels at teaching? Do you enjoy building relationships? Do you get satisfaction from teaching the faith, forming pastors, and mentoring students? Perhaps theological education would be a good fit.

Theological educators are also studious and lifelong learners. They always put the focus on Jesus Christ and his work. They model pastoral ministry for future pastors, and they disciple current pastors who are growing in theological depth.

LCMS International Mission is currently seeking to add theological educators to our Africa team. Jesus said in Matt 9: 37-38, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Is the Lord of the harvest calling you? Reach out to start the conversation today.
