Your team will have the chance to provide a sacred worship space for the flock at St. Andrew Lutheran Church. Additionally, you will refurbish the exterior, pastors’ office, library, laundry room, sacristy, and common area. The church is located in Kingston’s Halfway Tree neighborhood near an urban transportation hub. Renovations have been ongoing since Lutheran Ministries in Jamaica (LMJ) acquired the building several years ago.
This team’s primary task will be painting, but they may also be asked to assist with things such as
- Drywalling
- Tiling
- Building (raised chancel area, liturgical furnishing)
- Demo
- Electrical (conduit, ceiling fan & light fixture installation)
Note: The nature of the work means that construction or renovation experience is required for most team members.
This is a great opportunity for a team that is already formed to serve.
Dates: Flexible
Cost: approximately $100/person/night (airfare not included)
Cost Includes: food, lodging, on-field transportation, coordination and international medical insurance.
