Help Spread the Gospel, Plant Lutheran Churches, and Showing Mercy by assisting the seminary faculty at Concordia the Reformer Seminary with the implementation of a learning management system (LMS). The LMS will facilitate training men from around the region to be pastors. The men include residential and distance learning students. In addition to the pastoral students, there are women in 9 countries who are training to be deaconesses.
You will travel to the Dominican Republic, to meet with the faculty members who are working to implement this LMS. After gaining an understanding of the context and goals for the LMS, you will help with the initial construction while you are still in the Dominican Republic. Once your trip is completed, you will serve as a resource for the seminary for an agreed upon period of time, consulting on challenges and troubleshooting.
To serve in this role, you will need technical expertise in the Canvas LMS. Familiarity with Spanish would be helpful but not critical.
Timing: flexible
Cost: typically $100-$130/person/night (airfare not included)
Cost Includes: food, lodging, on-field transportation, coordination and international medical insurance.
