Children’s Ministry Team — Panama

Help spread the Gospel by bringing Christ into each day’s activities.

Help plant Lutheran churches by inviting the community and encouraging members to bring unchurched friends and neighbors, thus generating contacts for pastoral follow-up.

Help show mercy by meeting young people where they are and caring for them as the unique individuals they are.

Your team will walk alongside our brothers and sisters of the Panamanian Lutheran Church (IELPA) in a number of ways. Some possibilities include:

• Planning and leading a Vacation Bible School;
• Visiting a local public school;
• Providing Bible and English lesson support for an after-school program run by a IELPA congregation;
• Putting on a weeklong sports camp/VBS for youth ages ~12-16. (Note: e-sports are also popular, so PlayStation games are also a possibility.)

Children’s ministry experience and/or proficiency in Spanish would be helpful in general. If your team will teach English in some way, ESL experience would be preferred. Sports camp teams will ideally have at least 2-3 soccer players and/or gamers.

This is a great opportunity for a team that is already formed to serve.

Dates: flexible

Cost: typically $120-$160/person/night (airfare not included)

Cost Includes: food, lodging, project costs, on-field transportation, coordination and international medical insurance.
