Spread the Gospel. Plant Lutheran Churches. Show Mercy. These are the foundational principles that undergird our international mission work. But in order to accomplish this important work, our missionaries need to be able to work in their country legally. We need to be able to move money across borders legally. And that means we need a team of missionaries who focus on business operations.

Our Africa business operations team includes a Regional Business Manager, Assistant Business Manager, and Business Specialists. They collaborate with the global business operations team in St. Louis to support mission work across the entire continent of Africa. They also work closely with missionaries and local church partners.

The Africa Business Operations Team serve as translators of business-speak for non-business people, and vice versa. They must be flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing international legal standards. They develop data-driven solutions to complicated problems.

Background & Characteristics of someone on the Business Operations Team

✚ Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
✚ Experience in accounting/finance preferred.
