2026 Latin America Missionary Kid Program Team — Germany

In August 2026, all of the missionaries and their families serving in Latin America will gather for their annual conference. However this year will be a bit different. Instead of gathering at a location in Latin America, they will be learning more about history of the Lutheran church by holding their conference in Wittenberg, Germany. This conference will likely be structured differently than the typical Latin America conference, but we still want to provide some programming specifically for our missionary kids and their families.

The annual conference is a time of renewal for our missionary families. It incorporates worship, study, and fellowship. During blocks of scheduled programming for adults, it’s important to care for the region’s many missionary children. The goal is twofold: having fun and nurturing their faith.

Your team will spread the Gospel by providing Christ-centered activities for missionary kids so parents can fully engage in regional conference keynotes and other activities

This conference supports our focus on planting Lutheran churches by ensuring missionaries return to their fields of service refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready for another year of service to our Lord and by taking time out to engage with them and learn about their vocations.

And you will show mercy by demonstrating Christlike love for this special subset of young people with unique experiences and needs and building lasting relationships with them and their families.

You will work with your team to prepare and lead a Vacation Bible School for approximately 50 missionary kids, ranging in age from infants to teens. We will provide a curriculum for you to use as a framework. There are also evening babysitting opportunities during 1-on-1 meetings and kid-free “date nights.”

Note: This year we are seeking at least 4 Spanish speakers to join this team; Portuguese would be helpful, as well.

Dates: August 3-8, 2026

Cost: $50/person (airfare not included)

Cost Includes: food, lodging, project costs, coordination and international medical insurance.
