Once a year, all of the Africa missionaries gather with their families for a time of continuing education. This time of study also incorporates worship, rest, and fellowship. Of course the adults have a program of scheduled studies. However, it is also important to us to care for our missionary children. We want them to have fun and we want to nurture their faith.
In October 2025, our Africa missionary families will be learning more about history of the Lutheran church by holding their continuing education conference in Wittenberg, Germany. This conference will likely be structured differently than the typical Africa conference, but we still want to provide some programming specifically for our missionary kids and their families.
You will work with your team to prepare and lead the children’s program for the missionary kids, ranging in age from toddlers to teens. The program can be modeled after a kids camp, VBS, or other types of active learning. We will provide the curriculum for you to use as a framework.
This is a great opportunity for individuals to serve. A team that is already formed could also serve in this opportunity.
