Join missionaries Benjamin Helge and Chelsea Irwin in exploring the unique challenges and blessings that go hand in hand with missionary service. This opportunity is designed to introduce college students to all aspects of our work in the Czech Republic, as well as the life and work of various overseas missionary roles. Come and see how we spread the Gospel, plant Lutheran churches, and show mercy in Central Europe. This is a great opportunity for college students to explore missionary service.
Tentative Schedule
- Day 1 – arrive to Prague, CZ / sightseeing / group dinner
- Day 2 – attend Divine Service at St. Michael Lutheran Church / group lunch with local missionaries / afternoon Reformation tour in Prague
- Day 3 – morning lectures with Rev. Martin Damašek and Rev. Dr. John Bombaro / travel to Ostrava, CZ / group dinner with local missionaries
- Day 4 – teaching at local school in Havířov in the morning / lunch at school / afternoon excursion to forest church
- Day 5 – teaching at local school in Havířov in the morning / lunch at school / English Talk Group / youth group
- Day 6 – morning trip to Suchdol to learn about Moravian Brethren, the Counter Reformation period, and the Lutheran church in the Silesian region / visit to Český Těšín and tour of the Jesus Church
- Day 7 – travel to Krakow, PL / sightseeing in old town Krákow / evening debrief and group dinner
- Day 8 – depart for US

Cost: $650/person
Cost Includes: food, lodging, on-field transportation, coordination and international medical insurance.
