2024 Neighborhood Outreach Festival Team — Germany

Join our missionaries in Leipzig, Germany for their annual neighborhood outreach festival. This festival is organized by the LCMS and German missionaries who serve at Die Brücke (The Bridge). Die Brücke is a community center that serves the neighborhood surrounding St. Lukaskirche in Leipzig. This neighborhood has a diverse population, including many refugees.

Your team will help advertise for the event by creating and hanging posters and distributing fliers in the neighborhood. You will also help prepare for the festivities by cleaning and organizing the locations that will be used during the festival. There will be several fun events leading up to the festival. During all of these, you will assist with set up, monitoring activities and stations, helping with food service, clean up and tear down.

But aside from the work, you will have the chance to participate in the fun! There will be dancing, cake, tours of the historic church (possibly including the bell tower), face painting, music, and more. Do you have some musical or dramatic skills? Your team might prepare songs or skits to share! And you will have the opportunity to join the congregation at St. Lukaskirche in Leipzig for worship.

Cost: Approximately $1,100/person (airfare not included)

Cost Includes: food, lodging, project costs, coordination and international medical insurance.
