Your team will support Ascension Lutheran Church, a multicultural mission congregation of the LCMS’s SELC district, by making the following facility improvements:
1. Giving a side entrance the look and feel of a main entrance (re-framing a door, adding an awning, and putting in a brick walkway).
2. Re-keying 12+ locks.
3. Re-painting the sanctuary and selected other portions of the interior.
Ascension’s nickname is The Good News Place. They are located in the heart of one of the most vibrant and multicultural neighborhoods of Montreal, with sizable immigrant populations from Asia and the Middle East. Help this congregation serve their neighbors from all over the world, in a more welcoming, safe way.
Timing: Summer 2021
Cost: ~$115/person/night, plus local transportation (travel to Canada not included).
